Central Otago now has several flocks of Boer Goats with high quality genetics

Central Otago is well suited to raising Boer Goats and thanks to imported genetics and careful breeding programmes we are developing a high quality population of animals with an emphasis on meat production.

Nutrition is an important part of the goat story and Central, with its open rangeland and many shrubby and herbaceous plants, exotic and native, provides an ideal environment for raising these animals.
