Wanaka Show Judging:
The Boer Goat judge for Upper Clutha Show 2011 is Angus Burnett - Smith.
Angus is the Manager of Terraweena Boer Goat and Dorper Stud in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. Having literally grown up with Boer Goats it was natural that Angus's passion would take him not only along the judging path (South African trained Level Two) but also the governing body path. Until recently Angus was the Chairman of the Queensland Branch ABGBA. Recently Angus judged one of Brazils biggest shows at Sao Paulo and the 2010 New Zealand Boer Goat Breeders Association North Island Boer Goat Champs.
Terraweena is the founding stud that imported the first Boer Goats into Australia and has been the driving force behind integrating Boer Goats into Australia's farming sector as well as creating export markets for Boer Goat genetics. Angus's father Geof was the first Chairman of the Australian Association and his mother Celia was the first woman to be asked to attend a Senior Judges course in South Africa which she passed. To become a Senior judge you first have to be asked by the South African Board to sit the final school. Angus has a passion for the Boer Goat which is clearly apparent as he judges and explains his reasons
